Our acharya - Gurumata
The current president acharya of the institution is Gurumata Shrimati Jayshree Devi Goswamini, who was appointed by Srila Prabhuji through written wills, to continue his gurudeva’s mission of preserving and propagating the message and teachings of Srila Rupa Goswami, Srila Raghunath Das Goswami and the lineage of spiritual masters in their disciplic succession. Gurumata is adorning the seat of the acharya for the last 27 years since the divine disappearance pastime of her gurudeva and is untiringly serving towards the propagation of the congregational chanting and glorification of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra throughout Bengal.

The mission of Shree Guru Prapanna Ashram
Suddha Bhakti
SGPA aims at practicing and preaching suddha-bhakti, unadulterated pure devotional service, throughout the world.Our sole objective is to genuinely please the object of our worship – Sri Guru, Vaishnavas, and Sri Bhagavan. Our purpose is not to promote any kind of false, external show of bhakti.
Nitya Dharma
SGPA follows Nitya Dharma, eternal religion, or Atma Dharma, original characteristic of the soul, i.e., Vaishnavism, under the guidance of Srila Rupa Goswami and his followers. It does not support or practise any mind-borne religion.
No discrimination
SGPA does not believe or support any kind of discrimination based on caste, creed, gender, etc. All these bodily differences are insignificant in the practise of Bhakti. he devotees of Lord Sri Hari give up their material identification to achieve the transcendental service of the Lord.
Prayojana
Our objective is to attain the supreme goal – prayojana – which is the divine love for Sri Krishna, following the footsteps of the damsels of Vraja. The material miseries will automatically cease to hamper the devotees in course of devotional practise.
Yukta-vairagya
The members of SGPA are neither fruitive enjoyers nor false renunciates. Therefore, we acquire and collect wealth and donations for the devotional service of the Supreme Lord Sri Hari, knowing that everything in the universe and beyond is for the service of Sri Hari.
Our Experience
With an objective to achieve the above mentioned purposes, SGPA aims to publish and distribute magazines, booklets, books, and other written materials, thereby, spreading the transcendental truth in the mundane society. We also intend to use modern electronic and digital equipments and media to reach the ears and eyes of people.
Prapanna magazine
“By the causeless infinite mercy of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga, the first edition of the monthly English e-magazine Prapanna is being published. As desired by my dearest spiritual master, HDG Srila Patitpavan Goswami Thakura, the intention of this magazine is to distribute the suddha-bhakti-siddhanta-darsana, that is, the realization of the conclusion regarding pure unadulterated devotional service unto Sri Hari.
